Scarborough & Beyond
At Peasholm Park Vegan B&B, you have the perfect location for your holiday or short break, allowing you to take full advantage of the scenic, traditional British seaside town of Scarborough.
We are so fortunate to be set opposite the unique and beautiful oriental-styled Peasholm Park , with is pagoda, waterfall, lake and woodland walks. We are also only a 5 minute stroll to the stunning North Bay Beach, the famous Miniature Railway and just beyond is Europe’s largest Open Air Theatre. Scarborough’s North Bay is also home to a state of the art waterpark at Alpamare, and for cricket enthusiast we are 5 minutes from the cricket ground, which hosts tournaments throughout the season and the Annual Cricket Festival.
Towering over the headland, central to the North and South Bay, is Scarborough’s historical Castle. You can have a walk (or catch the open top bus) from the North Bay around Marine Drive to the South Bay, passing the Freddie Gilroy giant sculpture on the way. Here you will find it is lively with amusements, boat rides and home to a marina full of yachts, the Grand Hotel and at the end of the bay, Scarborough Spa.
Exploring further afield, you will find that North Yorkshire nurtures one of the finest stretches of coastline in Britain: golden beaches, rocky coves and towering cliffs. Nearby seaside towns are; bustling Bridlington and the Victorian unspoilt resort of Filey, further north, Whitby is a picturesque resort and inspiration for Bram Stoker’s Dracula. Just beyond Whitby is Sandsend which is well worth a visit. Staithes and Robin Hood’s Bay are quieter havens, and Runswick Bay is breath-taking on a Summer’s day.
Inland, is the North York Moors National Park, why not travel across the moors in traditional style – The North Yorkshire Moors Railway provides some 18 Miles of preserved steam railway running through the spectacular scenery of the North Yorkshire Moors.
Easily reachable on a day trip, you can go shopping in Leeds, visit historic York or local market towns such as Beverley, Helmsley and Malton.
